Born in Mie Prefecture.After gradueting from Musashino Academia Musicae, Nakamura continued her studies at the Yoshoro Irino Institude of Music. She sudied piano with Haruna Hirao and Claude Helffer. Winner of the third Japan Contemporary Music Piano Competition, she has subsequentry appeared as soloist in various concerts of contemporary music. In Europa, she has performed and recorded for music festival including the Warsaw Autumn, World Music Days of ISCM, Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music and International Contemporary Music Week in Luxenbourg. In 1993, she won the fiest prize at the 20th-century Music Competition in Sitges, Spain with the unanimous decision of the jury. Subsequentry she gave a recital at the Ⅳ Festival Internacional de Primavera-Musia del Sigro XX-hosted by the Catalan Society of Composers in Barcelona and Salamanca. In Tokyo, she has recitals in 1992,94 and 96, In 1997, She gave a recital of contemporary music by Japanese and Korean composers at the Seoul Pan Music Festival. At 2002, she set up the contemporary unit “claviarea” with composer Hiroyuki Yamamoto , and have given various activities those attempts to break away from the established concert style. Nakamura is enthusiastic about giving premieres and revivals of new works by contemporary compsers, as well as performing with orchestras and making CD recordings. She has released a solo CD”to you from...” “24 Essays -Matsudaira Yori-Aki”from ALM Records. She is a lecturer at Shobi College of Music.
